Most of my life
Now that I think
It’s been a majority
I’ve buried my feelings
Kept them entombed
Deep in my heart and mind
A smile, a laugh, a mask
Anger to compensate for sadness
But life is moving faster
Emotions are getting mixed and mashed
Today I feel sad
I allow myself that
Today I morn dreams
And what could’ve been
I allow myself that too
For emotions are fickle
And emotions soon pass
